As a professional wedding makeup artist and hairstylist based in Los Angeles, I specialize in creating breathtaking winter wedding looks that will have you feeling like a luminous & festive. With my team of talented makeup artist and hairstylists, we understands the unique charm and elegance that you want your holiday wedding to exude. Whether you desire a classic, timeless look or a bold, glamorous statement, I and my team have the skill and expertise to bring your vision to life and curate a look that perfectly complements your style, theme, and the festive spirit of the season.

What kind of look is perfect for a winter wedding?

Makeup for a winter wedding is more than just applying colors and products—it is about capturing the essence of the season and translating it into a breathtaking beauty experience. As we journey towards the end of the year, colors tend to lean deeper, richer, and cooler. Rich, subtle purples and greens or warm brown-reds are perfect! You can also go for the more icy effect with a touch of light blue or white sparkle!

Would you suggest different makeup for the wedding party?

Yes! The Bride is always the star of the show. No bridal party member should ever style their makeup or hair exactly like the bride (unless that's the bride's preference). In saying that however, having a similar look throughout the party visually speaks richly of the planning and effort put into the day. The bride starts the plan off with the choice of color and fabric for the bridesmaids' dresses. This is also the starting point for the hair and makeup looks! I suggest Brides find 2-3 different styles of makeup to share with their party; which is a great "inspo board" to give your gals to start their own makeup inspo search for the day!

Do you suggest I do a trial session with you before the wedding? If so, how far in advance?

Absolutely, a trial is one of those priceless “musts” for your wedding day. You usually meet your artist in person for the first time and discuss the look you want achieve. We go through skin, hair type and style preferences. Then when the hair and makeup is applied, you get to make little tweaks as needed and wear it throughout the day to see how it wears! If you're not booking your wedding day first, I suggest trialing your date within 2 weeks of deciding to move forward with an artist. If your bridal trial is included in your wedding day package, then you really have between the booking and 1 week before your wedding day to do the trial. (I always recommend my ladies to use the trial to their advantage if they can! Maybe for a dress fitting or bridal shower or party!)

How far in advance should I book my Winter Wedding?

I HIGHLY recommend booking your makeup artist/hairstylist when you book your wedding day photographer or go to find your wedding dress (Yes, that early in the process!!) Why? Because we're with you for all the beauty moments throughout the journey!! Dress fitting, engagement photos, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners!

Calendar wise, I recommend clients booking no less than 1 year out. Many bridal-only artists will book out 2 years in advance. I book out 1 year in advance and have weddings booked through the end of next year already, so planning ahead is going to be your best advice!

Don’t miss an opportunity to work with someone you love because they're already booked on one of your important dates! I can't tell you how many brides have booked their photoshoot or bridal event and reach out to trial that specific day, and miss the opportunity to work together because I’m unavailable and they didn't plan ahead.
